Katy Perry has released a tantalizing 26-second-long trailer for the music video for her single “Rise,” The video opens with a sweeping shot of Perry walking alone through a rocky dessert with a heart-shaped parachute trailing behind her.  The new song will be the official anthem of NBC’s Rio Olympics coverage.

It was revealed on Friday that Ariana Grande was barred from performing at a White House function last fall after footage of her licking a doughnut at a bakery went viral. “Can we also vet Arianna Grande?” Democratic National Committee Finance Chair Zachary Allen wrote in an email released via Wikileaks. A Lexis-Nexis search later sent to several White House officials detailed the doughnut incident, noting that Grande was caught during the doughnut scandal “saying she hates America.” The report also cited GOP Congressman Jeff Duncan’s Facebook post, which criticized America’s “double standards” in letting Grande get away with saying she “hated America” while holding Donald Trump accountable for his offensive words.
