Nickel Belt M-P-P France Gelinas is calling out the provincial government for failing to help out the communities of Gogama and Mattagami after two train derailments hit the area this year.

Gelinas stood up in Queen’s park today and asked the Premier why residents can’t even get an okay to eat the fish.

Gelinas asked what will be done provincially and questioned why the person in charge of local water quality has resigned his job.

Minister of the Environment, Glen Murray says water samples have been taken and they will hold the new federal government more accountable for rail safety.
