Around 1.6 million dollars in saving still needs to be found by the city in order to make up for the 6 million dollars used to freeze the 2015 municipal taxes.

Right now Interim CAO Kevin Fowke says 4.4 million dollars has been found.

Fowke says the 1.6 million could come from attrition and employees who are retiring.

He did say at this time it won’t come from job cuts.

The final report from Project 6 Million will be presented on November 17th and Fowke expects the 6 million dollars to be found by that date.
