The man responsible for terrifying you in the origina 1974 film Texas Chainsaw Massacre died at the age of 68 on Saturday evening at his home in Maine.

Gunnar Hansen, the actor who played Leatherface, was the horrifying villain who haunted your dreams every time you were brave enough to watch the scary movie. Texas Chainsaw Massacre ended up being rebooted 6 times since the original movie was released.

It’s a scary thought, but according to the World Bank, it’s true: Climate change could force more than 100 million people into extreme poverty by the year 2030. How? In a report titled “Shock Waves: Managing the Impacts of Climate Change on Poverty” which was released yesterday, it explains this is possible by disrupting agriculture and fueling the spread of malaria and other diseases. The report was released just weeks after a U.N. climate summit was held in Paris and highlights how the impact of global warming will leave the world’s poor extremely unprepared to deal with climate shocks like rising seas, crop failure, severe droughts waterborne disease, spikes in food prices, etc. “They have fewer resources and receive less support from family, community, the financial system, and even social safety nets to prevent, cope and adapt,” the Washington-based World Bank said. The report says that climate change is a “significant obstacle” to the elimination of poverty. “This report sends a clear message that ending poverty will not be possible unless we take strong action to reduce the threat of climate change on poor people and dramatically reduce harmful emissions” – World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim.

Excited yet?! Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first official TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The sneak peak features brand new footage from next month’s highly anticipated-sequel. Don’t worry about spoilers, the teaser is still fairly vague so it won’t give anything too important away! The 30 second commercial teaser starts with an epic shot of the Millennium Falcon flying over an vista with actors Harrison Ford, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley spotted in the shot.  The franchise’s newest droid, named BB-8 can also be seen. The tagline at the end says: “Every generation has a story”.

Halloween is over & while Remembrance Day on November 11th has yet to come, the Christmas commercials have arrived! Every year a British online store called “John Lewis” releases epic, heartwarming advertisements and this year’s short film about a little girl watching an old man who is living by himself on the Moon is adorable.
