A 42-year old man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single vehicle collision in Val Caron early this morning.

Sudbury Police say the collision happened around midnight on Belisle Drive between White Road and Main Street.

The family of the victim has asked that his name not be released.

The road was closed until around 6 am this morning.
