A self-published e-book allegedly written by convicted rapist and killer Paul Bernardo is no longer available for purchase on Amazon. According to Global New, the roughly 600 page fiction book “A Mad World Order” was initially selling online for $7.77. The plot involves the Russian mafia and an al-Qaida plot to attack the US and return Russia to a world superpower. While Amazon wouldn’t initially confirm that Bernardo is the author of the book, Bernardo’s lawyer did confirm they were aware their client was writing one. Meanwhile, the online retailer is also not speaking out about whether it removed the book from its site or it was taken down by someone else. Bernardo is serving a life sentence in an eastern Ontario prison for the 90’s rape and murder of Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy. Before the book was taken down, many tweets on Twitter were urging for the removl of the book on Amazon, using a petition on Change.org.

After six consecutive title defenses, the notoriously unbeatable Ronda Rousey was knocked out hard by victorious opponent Holly Holm. The UFC 193 bantamweight championship fight this weekend is being called the “biggest upset in the sport’s history”. ESPN reports that the fight ended 59 seconds into the second round with Holm delivering a left head kick that caused Rousey to lose consciousness and spend the night in the hospital. Fortunately, her CT scans came back normal. Rousey took to Instagram on Sunday to thank fans for their support. “I appreciate the concerns about my health, but I’m fine,” she wrote. I’m going to take a little bit of time, but I’ll be back.” Other losers of the night were Las Vegas sports books, who paid out big time to the many people who love to bet on underdogs. France launched massive air strikes on ISIS-controlled territory in Raqqa, Syria, on Sunday in the first direct retaliation for Friday’s terror attacks that killed 129 people and hospitalized hundreds more. The AP reports that 12 aircraft, including 10 fighter jets, were launched from sites in Jordan and the Persian Gulf in coordination with U.S. forces and dropped a total of 20 bombs. ISIS has said it is responsible for the assaults on Parisian bars and restaurants, as well as the State de France, the country’s main sports stadium, and Bataclan concert hall, where the Eagles of Death Metal were performing. The BBC reports that seven attackers died in the series of coordinated attacks, most of them after detonating suicide belts. Meanwhile, Brussels-born 26-year-old Salah Abdeslam has been identified as a key suspect. He was reportedly stopped by officers in the wake of the attacks, but then let go. Authorities say he is very dangerous and have warned people not to intervene if they see him. (via ReelWorld)
