James Van Der Beek survived the most awkward interview ever when he recently appeared on the British show This Morning, which saw the hosts not-so-subtly throwing shade at his acting career by making it seem like he hasn’t worked since starring in Dawson’s Creek. “What happened to the main man himself, Mr James Van Der Beek?” one of the anchors asked rhetorically as they showed a photo of Van Der Beek from more than 20 years ago. “He’s here now, and that’s what he looks like.” The actor was visibly annoyed. “I have been on television the last 20 years, just to let you know,” he remarked. When the hosts went on to assure him that they knew he’d been busy, but then proceeded to ask him about Dawson’s Creek, he responded, “From what I remember. It was a long time ago.” Viewers took to Twitter after the cringe-inducing segment to call out the co-hosts for their behavior. “Ooh harsh intro,” one tweeted. Another commented, “Great job on being d**ks, what a demeaning start to an interview! No wonder he felt awkward @vanderjames.”

The Twittersphere has been obsessed with debating whether pineapple is a legitimate pizza topping ever since Icelandic president Gudni Johannesson declared last month that the option should be banned. In fact, “pineapple on pizza” had its most-searched month ever since Google started collecting the data in 2004. Now, Gordon Ramsay has weighed in on the heated debate. The hot-tempered celebrity chef ordered several pizzas when he guest hosted a recent episode of the U.K.’s Nightly Show and was displeased when an audience member suggested pineapple as a topping. “You don’t put f**king pineapple on a pizza,” he declared. Naturally, pineapple pizza haters rejoiced and took to social media to declare victory. “Gordon Ramsay said pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza, so case closed,” one tweeted. “Thanks very much. End of discussion.”

Since February, millions of people have been tuning into a livestream that keeps track of April, a pregnant giraffe who is expecting her fourth calf. However, the lanky resident of New York’s Harpursville Animal Adventure Park was supposed to give birth in mid-February. Now March has come to an end, and April’s followers are starting to speculate that this is all an elaborate hoax. What if #ApriltheGiraffe being pregnant…is the BIGGEST APRIL FOOLS’ DAY JOKE OF ALL TIME?” one tweeted. “After all, her name is April. And April Fools’ Day is just around the corner.” The zoo recently took to Facebook, however, to assure the public that April’s pregnancy is indeed real. “Keep on laughing! Our sense of humor has kept us sane throughout this entire process!” they wrote. “We could be hours away or days–so do not stop your day–but certainly don’t stop watching!” For what it’s worth, giraffe pregnancies typically last between 13 and 15 months.
