Us Weekly reports that designer and former child actress Ashley Olsen has dumped her boyfriend of five months, financier Richard Sachs. “She wants to focus on her clothing line right now,” a source tells the magazine. “They’re still friends and hang out.” Another factor could have been their enormous age difference: Olsen’s 30, while Sachs is 58. Meanwhile, Mary-Kate is married to 47-year-old Olivier Sarkozy

Katy Perry really wants fans to be “Chained to the Rhythm.” She introduced the song via a social media scavenger hunt that had fans scrambling to get their hands on disco balls in cities around the country that played her single ahead of its official release.

Then it got the Grammy performance treatment, a fancy video, a Hot Chip remix, and now Lil Yachty is hopping aboard for a “Chained to the Rhythm (Boat Remix).”

  • Despite all of her efforts, the single topped out at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since plummeted to $15.
  • Lil Yachty dropped an auto-yuned solo vocal in. The teenage MC raps: “Chained to the beat now/Feelin’ good, got good vibes/I can feel it in my feet now/Take a shot, baby, loosen up/You the star of the scene now/I went from readin’ magazines to being on the cover/Get up in the groove now/Let me see you move now.” He also gives Perry a shout out in the third verse: “I love you, Katy!”
  • “Chained to the Rhythm” is the first track form Perry’s upcoming fourth album. Lil Yachty’s debut studio album Teenage Emotions is due out this year as well.

Twitter is having a meltdown after Olympic figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi wished fellow skater Nancy Kerrigan good luck on the new season of Dancing With the Stars by telling her to “break a leg.” “So excited for you @NancyAKerrigan!” Yamaguchi, a former DWTS champion, tweeted on Monday ahead of the show’s season premiere. “Can’t wait to see you grace that ballroom floor, break a leg!” Of course, Kerrigan was famously whacked in the knees during 1994’s infamous “Skategate” scandal, making her perhaps the only person on Earth for whom “break a leg” is not a nice thing to say. “I literally spit my drink out reading this,” one Twitter user commented, while another wrote, “That may or may not have been a good choice of words.” A Yamaguchi rep has since said in a statement, “Kristi is finding the reactions on social media humorous, but unfortunately for those who want it to have been shady, that’s not the case.”

Ryan Gosling has finally explained why he laughed on stage during this year’s Oscars mishap, when La La Land was accidentally announced as Best Picture over real winner Moonlight. “I thought there was some kind of medical situation, and I had this worst case scenario playing out in my head,” Gosling recalled during an appearance at the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas on Wednesday. “And then I just heard, ‘Oh Moonlight won,’ and I was so relieved that I started laughing.” Gosling went on to explain that he was thrilled for the Moonlight team. “It’s such a ground breaking film, made for a million dollars, and incredible achievement,” he added. “And I’m so happy for them that they were being recognized.”
