Family Day Municipal Service Schedule and Reduced Rates for Leisure Programs

 

The City of Greater Sudbury would like to advise residents of the following municipal service schedule Family Day, Monday, February 20, 2017:

 

  • Tom Davies Square will be closed
    • Citizen Service Centres and libraries will be closed
    • Greater Sudbury Transit routes will follow Sunday and holiday service schedules
    • Greater Sudbury landfills, recycling centre, garbage and recycling collection are unaffected by the holiday.
    • Social media is not monitored regularly during statutory holidays.

 

Certain leisure facilities will be open on Family Day. If the activity you are looking for is not listed, please call the facility directly to inquire about services.

 

Ski Hills
Ski hills will offer reduced daily rates for skiing and snowboarding.

 

Adanac Ski Hill
Hours of Operation: 10:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.

 

Reduced Rates:
Junior Half Day: $9.50
Junior Full Day: $14.00
Student/Senior Half Day: $10.75
Student/Senior Full Day: $15.00
Adult Half Day: $14.00
Adult Full Day: $17.00

 

Lively Ski Hill
Hours of Operation: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

Reduced Rates:
Junior/Senior Full Day: $5.50
Adult Full Day: $6.50

 

 

Pools

Family Day reduced rates for public swimming:
Adult: $2.50
Youth/Senior: $2.25
Family (maximum of six people per family): $6

Family Swim: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

 

Howard Armstrong Recreation Centre
Family Swim: 1 p.m. to 2:25 p.m.
Public Swim: 2:30 p.m. to 3:55 p.m.

 

Nickel District Pool
Family Swim: 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

 

Onaping Pool
Family Swim: 1:30 p.m. to 2:55 p.m.
Public Swim: 3 p.m. to 4:25 p.m.
Municipal Arenas
Public Skating Reduced Rates:

 

Adult: $2.50
Youth/Senior: $2.25
Family (maximum of six people per family): $6

FREE Public Skating during Family Day
The Capreol Lions Club is hosting a free community skate with free hot chocolate from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Capreol Arena.

 

Centennial Community Centre / Arena
FREE Public Skating during Family Day
The Valley East Community Action Network is hosting a free community skate from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Centennial Arena.

 

Chelmsford Community Centre / Arena
3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

FREE Public Skating during Family Day

 

Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeault’s 2nd annual Family Day Skate from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Sudbury Arena.  Join us for a free skate, pancakes and refreshments.

Please Note: Only CSA-approved skating aids are allowed on the ice surface.

 

The Ramsey Lake Skate Path, Queen’s Athletic Skating Oval and local neighbourhood outdoor rinks will also be open, weather permitting.
