Come March 1st, pet owners in the city will have the option to own as many cats or dogs as they want.

City Council passed a new animal care and control by-law that will allow pet owners can keep as many spayed or neutered dogs and cats…the current limit is four.

Owners can also choose to purchase one year, three year or lifetime dog or cat licence’s, where the current by-law requires a yearly renewal.

Current regulations stay in effect until February 28th.
