Habitat for Humanity Sudbury is currently busy with a build in Espanola.

The construction of a duplex on Adelaide Street began last November.

Habitat fund-raising co-chair Katie Emrich Harmon says the two families being helped aren’t just given a free home.

They have to afford a no-interest mortgage, pay property taxes and put in hours to help build the home…or better known as “sweat equity”.

There has been tremendous support from local businesses and the community in the form of supplies and workers and it’s hoped the construction will be complete this spring or summer.
