The City of Greater Sudbury Municipal Service Schedule for Remembrance Day, Friday, November 11:

  • Tom Davies Square will be closed.
  • Citizen Service Centres, libraries, pools and municipally-operated recreation facilities will be closed.
  • Household garbage and recycling collection which falls on Remembrance Day will be changed to Saturday, November 12. Landfills and the Recycling Centre will remain open. Please make sure your garbage is at the curb by 7 a.m. as pick-up times may vary.
  • Greater Sudbury Transit buses will operate on a normal weekday schedule and will provide free transportation to and from the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Sudbury Arena. Riders are asked to tell the driver they are attending the ceremony. For routes and times visit www.greatersudbury.ca/transit.

Free parking will be available at municipal parking lots and meters for those attending the Remembrance Day Ceremony.

Remembrance Day Ceremony

A Remembrance Day Ceremony takes place at the Sudbury Arena Friday, November 11 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.

Residents are asked to be seated by 10:15 a.m. for the arrival of the parade.
