A Sudbury woman has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric assessment to determine if she can be sentenced as an adult in connection to the death of 20-year old Alan Ashawasagai, a year-and-a-half ago in the Donovan.

The now 19-year-old woman pleaded guilty to Manslaughter and will be sentenced May 24.

The suspect was 17 at the time of the death and therefore can not be identified.

Ashawasagai was stabbed in a Bloor Street apartment in June 2014 and died of his injuries a few hours later.

The case was before Sudbury courts yesterday.
