A father and three young children were found safe after their vehicle broke down on a hunting trip north of Capreol.

Police say their vehicle broke down on Friday around 3 pm in the area of Moose Mountain Mine Road.

The father and three children ages 6,7 and 8 were not dressed to spend the night.

They also did not have supplies to stay outside for an extended period of time.

33-year old Alan McQuiggie and his children were located shortly after, treated for exposure to the elements and returned home safe.
