The first appearance in provincial offences court was held today for the City of Greater Sudbury and Interpaving Limited, who face charges by the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

The city faces seven charges and Interpaving three in connection with a death of 58-year old Cecile Paquette who was killed by a grader on a construction site on Elgin Street last September.

Representing the Ministry of Labour, Garrett Irvin says the next date will be November 30th, this time at the Courthouse on Elm Street.

Irvin says they were aiming for a next court appearance of November 16th.

The November 30th date will be the first appearance before a judge.

The family of Paquette is suing the city and Interpaving for 2 million dollars.
