For the first time ever the Ontario Hockey League held a draft lottery because there was no season played this year.

Normally the draft order is based on the standings at the end of the season.

And luck was on the side of Sudbury as the Wolves won the lottery and will have the first pick in the upcoming OHL priority draft.

Sudbury will make that selection on June 4th…this will be the third time the Wolves have picked first overall since 2015, the other two picks being David Levin and Quinton Byfield.

The first round will be held on June 4th and the rest of the draft will be held June 5th.
