David Letterman returned to TV for first time since leaving ‘The Late Show’! It’s been just over a year since the former talk show host signed off for the last time, and now he’s back with a promotional video for the second season of “Years of Living Dangerously”, the Emmy-winning docu-series about the effects of climate change

In this episode, Letterman travels to India to explore how one of the world’s most populated countries plans to provide power to all its citizens.

While walking through a field of solar panels, Letterman says:
“I’ve created, excuse the expression, kind of a love affair with this. Think about the coal-fired, dangerous, smoke-belching generating plants, and then you look at this and it’s friendly. There’s something very appealing about this, and it’s smooth. Look at it: I can touch it and it’s safe. I put my head right there on it.”

The 69 year old then leans in to kiss the solar panels.
Season 2 of Years of Living Dangerously premieres Oct. 30 on National Geographic. Other hosts aside from Letterman include Arnold Schwarzenegger, America Ferrera, Cecily Strong, and Aasif Mandvi.

Meanwhile, Letterman has no interest in late-night TV, or comedy. Right now, he is simply focused on the environment and the damage we are doing to it.

“The Tonight Show” host was allowed to run his fingers through the Republican presidential nominee’s hair last week when he was on the show, although no pictures were allowed to document the epic after-math moment

Fallon also called Trump a “good sport” for allowing the comedian to mess up his hair.
