Researchers are hoping Sudbury residents will participate in a long-term, health study which is meant to better understand what affects health and quality of life.

The Ontario Health Study will be conducting an assessment centre at the LifeLabs location on Larch Street this Friday and Saturday, to recruit Sudbury participants.

Executive Scientific Director, Dr Mark Perdue, says they’re looking for those between the ages of 35 and 69.

Data is compiled through online questionnaires and blood samples.

Perdue says blood samples help researchers look at the health of a community.

The blood is also used by researchers to measure pollutants and identify risk factors.

All participants will be provided with an analysis on their overall individual health.

The online survey can be found at Ontariohealthstudy.ca.

Perdue reassures participants that reseachers with the study follow strict privacy practices on the collection of personal information.
