It’s a new campaign year for the United Way Sudbury and Nipissing District, but the goal remains the same, to connect with donors and reach out to the community.

The United way invests in over 45 local programs for anyone from children and youth to the elderly.

Executive Director, Michael Cullin says one difference this year will be to collect data to see what’s working and what can be done better.

Cullen says they will continue to connect with the public like they did last year when they began to follow up with donors to let them know what their money went towards.

2016 Campaign Chair Paul Kusnierczyk says fundraising is tough today so they have to find ways to stand out.

Last year United Way Sudbury and Nipissing District helped over 28 thousand people in Sudbury and Cullen hopes this year they can break the 30 thousand mark.
