ChangeForTeens

By Angela Gemmill & Nick Liard

There are about two dozen jars set up at businesses and organizations around town, asking for spare change to help our local youth.

The Better Beginnings Better Futures’ program called Supporting Potential Overtime with Teens (SPOT), along with the Sudbury Workers’ Education and Advocacy Centre are working together on the “Change For Teens” campaign.

The two non-profit groups are working together on the awareness and fundraising campaign, which will help empower youth and in turn keep them out of poverty.

Youth Outreach Worker Caceila Trahan says the jars will remain at the 25 sites until International Youth Day August 12th.
