A major snow storm is sweeping through the province today and that will mean a lot of snow for the Sudbury region.

Between 15-20 cm is expected to fall in the area beginning tonight and lasting until around noon tomorrow.

Meteorologist Etienne Gregoire says Sudbury will be the lucky ones in this wet storm that originated in Texas.

He says Sudbury will get just snow, where as most of Southern Ontario will get a mix of snow, rain, freezing rain and ice.

Gregoire says road conditions will be pretty bad heading south especially around the Parry Sound, Georgian Bay area.

North Bay could see as much as 35 cm.
