Further Info On Human Remains Found In Junction Creek In May

Greater Sudbury Police have released more details about human remains found in Junction Creek this spring.

The body was found May 2nd in the water near Regent and McLeod Street.

The man’s identity still remains unknown.

The Ontario Forensic Pathology Service was able to compile a sketch of what the man might look like and police are releasing pictures of what he was wearing.

The man is described as Aboriginal, between 30-48-years old, about five-foot-five, 157-pounds, with long straight black hair, brown eyes, a black beard and a moustache.

• Aboriginal Male
• 30-48 years old (approximation)
• 5’5”
• 157 lbs (at post mortem)
• Long straight black hair
• Black beard and moustache
• Brown eyes
• No tattoo’s
• Upper jaw, only the 4 front teeth remain
• Teeth staining (possible smoker)
• Gallbladder and appendix removed
• Scar on right knee
A distinguishing feature identified of this person is an old Air gun wound to the chin with the pellet still embedded in his chin bone. This would have occurred at some point earlier in his life.
