Capreol Days

Chelsea and I got to spend this beautiful Saturday afternoon in Downtown Capreol celebrating its 100th anniversary with Capreol Days! The biggest miracle of today was that Chelsea finally went a Saturday without burning. The second, was that we found a local grilled cheese vendor Grill’d Cheese 2PLS! We had a blast soaking some local firefighters and volunteers at the dunk tank, Chelsea has proven to have way better aim than me. We got to make so many puppy friends, who got caught walking and went home with custom printed pet bandanas from Tailblazers. After checking out all of the local vendors, we got to enjoy some live music and a magic show while getting a break from the sun.

The day was made even better with a visit to the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Center! There we got to milk Northern Maple, their animated cow, and play with some baby ducks at their petting zoo. Some of the new friends that we made there got free play passes to KUPP indoor play center and KUPP lazer tag. NORMHC was also offering free rides on their motorized train Oebe, which gave us a beautiful little tour of the city. On our way out we stopped by the baseball fields to cool off at the splash pad, enjoy a baseball tournament and take a swing at Avalon Medieval LARP. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store for us and our trusty 2018 Jeep Compass Sport from Mazzuca Chrysler.
