MGM Resorts International was in federal courts Monday in Nevada and California filing lawsuits against victims of last year’s horrific Las Vegas concert shooting. They say any claims against them must be dismissed because plaintiffs have no liability of any kind against the defendants.  A Las Vegas lawyer Robert Eglet is representing a number of the victims and told Newe York Post the hotel’s unusual action is a pre-emptive strike to get the cases heard in federal court instead of state court. Eglet says “I’ve never seen a more outrageous thing, where they sue the victims in an effort to find a judge they like,” the lawyer continued. “It’s just really sad that they would stoop to this level.”

64-year old Stephen Paddock shot concert goers at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival on October 1st busted out a window from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel killing 58 people and leaving more than 850 injured.
