MR 55 Fatality 

Sudbury Police say the driver of a motorcycle has died after a collision between a vehicle and motorcycle.

Details of the crash have not been released but it did happen before 11 am outside of Lively and officers confirmed the driver of the motorcycle, a 70-year old man from Greater Sudbury, was pronounced dead at the scene.

MR 55 is still closed in both directions between Main Street and Agnes Street.

Police are asking drivers coming into Sudbury from that direction to take MR 55 West to the Highway 17 bypass.

Those going to Lively, a detour has been set up.

His name will not be released as per request of the family.

 

Highway 69 Rollover Fatality

OPP say one person died and another is in hospital after a single vehicle collision on Highway 69.

The vehicle rollover happened at 2:45 am on the northbound lane of Highway 69 between Crooked Lake Road and the Alban turnoff(Highway 64)

The highway was reduced to one lane for 5 hours this morning but has been fully re-opened.

OPP continue to investigate.
