Friendship

There is now an easier way for aboriginals to get legal help if they feel their human rights have been violated.

Details were released this morning at the N’Swakamok Native Friendship Centre in downtown Sudbury about the Provincial Aboriginal Human Rights Training Initiative.

The project will deliver training to Friendship Centre staff across the province to promote access to legal services for Indigenous people experiencing discrimination.

Lori Mishibinijima, Co-ordinator of the Human Rights Legal Support Centre says this is a great opportunity to tackle violations in a proactive way.

The N’Swakamok Native Friendship Centre in downtown Sudbury is one of 29 Friendship Centre’s across the province.
