There are a few things you can count on every fall: an abundance of pumpkin spice, plaid flannels galore, and a new iPhone launching.

Today Apple released several new products: 4 new models of iPhone, 2 new models of AirPods, and their newest smartwatch.

You can read all about the latest releases here, but if you want a quick overview of each of these new products, here’s the short version!

What’s new with iPhone 16?

The latest iPhones were built to support Apple Intelligence as a central part of their experience. This is Apple’s new AI system that will help with everything from making Siri smarter and more relevant to you when you ask questions to helping you generate custom emoji!

Unfortunately though, Apple Intelligence isn’t available at launch. Bummer, right? Well, this will give you a bit of extra time to mess around with some of the new features like Camera Control or decide on a bright new colour, or perhaps whether it’s worth it to upgrade to the iPhone 16 Pro or Pro Max.

What’s new with AirPods 4?

Apple introduced not one, but TWO new models of AirPods into the mix with their September 20th launch. These look similar. In fact, from the outside the AirPods look identical. But there are some differences in features, mostly related to active noise cancellation, that might make you choose the more expensive model over the cheaper ones. The more expensive ones also have a better case.

What’s new with Apple Watch 10?

The Series 10 was rumoured to be a dramatic reinvention of the Apple Watch. However, it turns out it’s more of a refinement. But I think this is a good thing. Apple Watch from Series 6-9 has been so great, so with Series 10, it’s more about making the familiar stuff sleeker. That’s why we got the thinnest Apple Watch ever. The largest display on an Apple Watch, and some nice new finishes, including the gorgeous Jet Black:

What do you think?

I attended the launch event for the new devices at Apple’s headquarters in California back on September 10th, and since then have had quite a bit of time to go hands on with the various devices before they launched. I really like the new Camera Control feature but am eagerly awaiting Apple Intelligence. If it’s implemented well, this could be the biggest change we’ve seen to the iPhone lineup ever.

So while we wait for that, we have some great new AirPods to try (I love that there’s even more variety and price points available so people can choose what features they need for their budget) and a new Apple Watch to try.
