IMPORTANT:  Use all-natural peanut butter.   Ensure the peanut butter has  NO Xylitol or sugar substitutes, those are toxic to dogs.

Pre-heat oven to 350F and line baking sheet with parchment paper, or silicone baking mat. You can also use baking molds.

Ingredients:

1 ½  cups whole wheat flour

¼ cup oatmeal

1 teaspoon baking soda

¼ cup coconut oil

½ cup bone (or beef) broth

1 egg

½ cup all-natural peanut butter and doesn’t contain xylitol or sugar substitutes.

1/3 cup shredded cheese

Directions:

In a large bowl, mix together wheat flour, oatmeal and baking soda.  Add in egg, broth and coconut oil, mix well.

Add in peanut butter and cheese, mix well again.   If the mixture is too dry or too wet, add broth or wheat flour to balance.

Once you have the right consistency, roll out dough with rolling pin and use cookie cutter.     *You can use parchment paper to help roll out your dough.

Once you have your cookies cut, place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.   Bake for 10-15 mins, turn over cookies halfway through.

Storage:  Homemade Dog treats should be stored in an airtight container for up to two weeks, or can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month.   Mason jars work great!
