There are a number of buses cancelled in Greater Sudbury today related to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Transportation has again been cancelled for students attending Marymount Academy and Pius XII, as classes have been again suspended, said the Sudbury Student Services Consortium on its website Jan. 26.

Also, four new runs have been affected by a possible COVID-19 exposure.

The consortium said all affected parents would be receiving an autodial message between 7 and 8 a.m. Tuesday, advising them of the possible exposure, and a letter from the Public Health was forwarded to the affected parents via email overnight.

These are the affected runs:

  • Morning Secondary Run on Route N461
  • Morning Secondary Run on Route N460
  • Afternoon Secondary Run on Route N460
  • Afternoon Secondary Run on Route NW464

Public Health Sudbury & Districts has declared a COVID-19 outbreak in Marymount Academy in Greater Sudbury after one more individual tested positive for the virus, bringing the total to two cases associated with Marymount Academy.

In accordance with provincial guidance, an outbreak in a school setting is declared when two or more laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 are linked and occur within 14 days of each other, said a press release from the health unit.
