With the risk of frostbite in minutes today due to the extreme cold, school buses have been cancelled in Sudbury, Espanola, Massey and Manitoulin.

The schools will remain open and staff is expected to report.

If you were supposed to write an exam today, it will be rescheduled so check your school’s website for information.

Environment Canada is also calling for 10-15 cms of snow today and into tomorrow.

It’s actually colder here than at the North Pole this morning. And we smashed a record-low temperature record yesterday that has stood since 1996.

Yesterday it dropped to minus 34.1 beating the old record by 3 degrees.
