The active forest fire Parry Sound 33 was relatively quiet yesterday with scattered showers and Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry crews expect it to be that way for the next few days although it’s still not under control.

The fire stayed at 5,600 hectares yesterday allowing ground crews to aggressively establish hose lines in areas around Key Harbour and Key River with eight helicopters working on the fire.

Sudbury.com has compiled a video of all social media posts which show the scope of the fire and the enormous effort from those working on the fire to put it out.

They also say around 90 residents from Henvey Inlet who were evacuated to Sudbury are expected to be back home by Friday.
