Today was jam packed full of exciting adventures and interesting finds!  I got up bright and early to pack up the Sudbury Hearth and Home Summer Cruiser full of exciting prizes, and headed over to the 5th annual Defeat Depression Walk/Run, at the Grace Hartman Amphitheater!  The turn out was amazing, so many people were there to show their support for mental health awareness.  There were 3 different routes to take, 2 kilometers, 4 kilometers, and 10 kilometers!  When I first arrived at the Defeat Depression Walk/Run, I was so excited to see so many families participating, along with duo or solo runners.  It made me feel good to know that entire families were supporting such a great cause.  And of course, I loved to see all the furry friends out and about.  The sun wasn’t too high in the sky, and it started to drizzle a little bit, but the rain did not dull anyone shine, or crush anyone’s spirits.  It was definitely an experience to remember.

After the Defeat Depression Walk/Run, I headed downtown to take part in Sudbury’s Largest Yard and Sidewalk Sale; and let me tell you when they say largest they mean largest!  The streets of Downtown Sudbury were jammed packed with people, vendors, and entertainment.  There was live music from multiple artists, food vendors and small businesses, along with people from all over Sudbury who wanted to sell some of their stuff!  The support from all of the local businesses downtown and Downtown Sudbury BIA was what made this even happen, but it wouldn’t have been a success without the support and participation of all the amazing members of our Sudbury Community!

After spending some time at Sudbury’s Largest Yard and Sidewalk Sale, and after spending way too much money on cool things that I found; I took the 2018 Jeep Compass Sport from Mazzuca Chrysler, and headed back to the KiSS 105.3 Studio at 880 Lasalle Blvd.  We we’re holding a bottle drive in support of Relay for Life which will be taking place at Laurentian University on June 15, 2018.  I had a bunch of fun playing games and giving out prizes – like free pizza from Toppers Pizza, and 5$ Gift Cards to Dairy Queen – to the lucky winners who came and helped us by donating their empty beer and liquor bottles/cans!

Handing out so many prizes and give ways today was so much fun!  I can’t wait to see where the Sudbury Hearth and Home Summer Cruiser will be taking me on a new adventure next week!
