The Northern Ontario Internship Program is once again bridging the gap between post-secondary graduates and their future careers.

New local placements, in a range of sectors, will provide 50 young people with much needed work experience.

Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeault says they are often seeing the interns get hired on full-time because of the training they receive.

Thibeault says the 50 interns help generate 1.5 million dollars to the Sudbury economy, he also says there are 27 more positions in the works on top of the 50 announced this week.
