Police seized over 180 thousand dollars in drugs and laid multiple charges after disrupting a cocaine trafficking network.

Sudbury Police working with OPP and Thunder Bay police focused on drug traffickers in Northern Ontario that were receiving large amounts of cocaine from Southern Ontario.

Search warrants were used at two Sudbury residences and police found 1.85 kilograms of cocaine, almost 100 oxy pills, morphine, marijuana, nine guns and ammunition.

There was also $23,000 in cash found when the arrests were made this weekend

Police laid 37 drug and weapons charges against 40-year old Matti Loponen and 28-year old Shawn Methe of Sudbury along with two Thunder Bay residents and one man from Bradford.
