Lori Shortall has paid big money and taken time off of work to see Adele perform live 3 times, but each of the concerts was cancelled. Now, the St. Johns, Newfoundland resident is desperate to get the singer’s attention.

“Between the jigs and the reels, plane tickets and tickets to see her, and hotels, Airbnbs and things like that, I’ve got to be approaching $9,000 to $10,000,” she told CBC News.

Shortall flew all the way to England to see  Adele’s show at Wembley Stadium in London, but the singer cancelled the rest of her performances, explaining she has vocal cord damage. Lori  says the first time this happened was in 2011 when Adele was touring with her “21” album and she traveled all the way to Houston, Texas to see her perform. Shortall is a teacher who explains that the tickets were given to her by her sister as a birthday present and that she took unpaid days off just to make the trip.

The second time Lori’s dreams were crushed was in Phoenix, Arizona during Adele’s “25” tour. Shortall says she received a phone call from a friend who broke the news that Adele was cancelling that concert, too!

Despite all of this, Shortall is not angry with Adele and only wants one small thing. “Help a girl out!! All I want is five minutes of your time and a cup of tea!”

Shortall has even tagged Ellen Degeneres and The Late Late Show host James Corden to try and make this dream of meeting Adele a reality.

“My friends and I are having tea at Harrod’s tomorrow afternoon, so if she would like to join us. We’ll pay for hers … The invite is out there so we’d love to have her”
