5 Cocktails for Canada Day

Everyone enjoys watching the fireworks on Canada Day with an ice cold beer, but sometimes it’s nice to switch it up and get creatively festive for our nation’s 150th birthday! Here are some fun Canadian drinks you can mix up on July 1st.

1. Loon on Red Lake
-Rheault Distillery’s “Loon Vodka” is made in Hearst, Northern Ontario

-Mix Loon Vodka with Canadian Cranberry, such as “Wildly Canadian Pure Cranberry Juice”

2. Bacon Hoser Caesar

-Grab some bacon-infused Canadian Vodka like “Crystal Head Vodka” for this delicious twist on a classic Canadian caesar
-Throw a dash of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco in for that extra kick! Top it off with a piece of bacon, lime wedges, black pepper, celery salt and ice and you’ve got a killer Canadian cocktail!

3. Canadian Fireworks Cocktail

Toast to Canada with this bright red champagne cocktail
-You can swap the champagne for Canadian sparkling wine such as Henry of Pelham Cuvée Catharine Brut VQA.

4. Maple Leaf Cocktail

There’s nothing more Canadian than pure maple syrup made right here in Canada mixed with Canadian Rye
¼ oz. lemon juice
½oz. Canadian maple syrup
1 oz. Crown Royal Whiskey/Rye

5. Canadian Carbomb

Like Jägerbombs? Make your own version called “Canadian Carbomb”  which is a combination of Molson Canadian beer (or beer from your local brewery) and delectable maple syrup with some Canadian Rye or Whiskey.
1 pint Molson Canadian
½ oz. Canadian maple syrup
½ oz. Alberta Premium Rye
