Mayor Bigger Won't Reveal Which Arena Location He Wants

While some councillors have come out supporting either the Kingsway or Downtown locations for a new arena event centre, Mayor Brian Bigger won’t make his choice known until next week.

The mayor made the statement in his third State of the City Address to the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce in which he highlighted the year that was and looked to what’s in store for this year and beyond.

He says he will make his choice after up coming meetings with the city councillors.

Bigger says he won’t choose the option that will get him the most votes in the next election but what will be best for citizens going forward.

Bigger calls the arena location perhaps the most important decision he will make as Mayor.

City council will pick between Downtown Sudbury and the Kingsway on June 27th.
