Dr. Roberta Bondar spent eight days, one hour and 46 minutes in space becoming the first Canadian woman to do so.

In that amount of time, she probably got a good look at our planet.

And very few of people have looked at the earth like she has, so when Bondar was in Sudbury last week, we asked her what she thought about people who believe the world is flat.

Bondar was at Science North in Sudbury promoting a new photography exhibit and the Ontario 150 Bondar Challenge she spoke with a group of elementary students and confirmed she also didn’t see any extraterrestrial beings in space.

Now this debate or conversation is not a new one.

A number of celebrities have come out supporting the world is flat.
