How nice is Amy Shumer?   She was recently jogging through Chicago when she stopped at a Six Corners Mattress Firm and asked to use the bathroom. Employee Sagine Lazarre tells WGN-TV that on her way out, Schumer went up to talk to her  and asked her  which mattress was her favorite. When she pointed at a $2,000 one, the comedian bought it for her as a gesture of appreciation.

Lazarre says she was shocked and after she left she Googled her name from the credit card.  It was amazing. Unbelievable.” The mattress came for Lazarre at the perfect time because she and her daughter just moved into a new apartment.

The father of  Cuba Gooding Junior was found dead in his parked car yesterday in California.  The 72-year old was spotted slumped over in his Silver Jaguar on Ventura boulevard just before 1:00 in the afternoon. When the fire department arrived they  attempted CPR, but could not resuscitate him. Police reportedly found empty booze containers in the car and suspect he died from an overdose.
Gooding was the lead singer of the ’70s soul group The Main Ingredient, which had a huge hit in 1972 with “Everybody Plays the Fool.”
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Bill O’Reilly, who was sacked by FOX earlier this week amidst a cavalcade of sexual harassment allegations, will receive a $25 million severance–the equivalent of a year’s salary, per the terms of his recently renegotiated (and now aborted) contract. That’s a ton of money, but it’s nowhere near the $40 million FOX head honcho Roger Ailes was paid when he was shown the door this past summer for coming on to multiple women.
