During a recent episode of her show, Ellen DeGeneres strayed from her typically apolitical stance and used her film Finding Dory to lecture President Donald Trump about his ban on refugees from seven Middle Eastern countries. “Dory arrives in America with her friends Marlin and Nemo,” DeGeneres explained. “She ends up at the Marine Life Institute behind a large wall. They all have to get over the wall, and you won’t believe it, but that wall has almost no effect in keeping them out.” She added, “Even though Dory gets into America, she ends up separated from her family, but the other animals help Dory. Animals that don’t even need her. Animals that don’t have anything in common with her. They help her, even though they’re completely different colors. Because that’s what you do when you see someone in need–you help them.”

The commercial for this year’s Grammy Awards features several young girls reciting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech from last year’s ceremony, in which she shamed Kanye West for suggesting in his song that he made her famous. “I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success,” the speech opens, before several girls are shown joining in to recite the speech while pursuing their various dreams. While the visual proves to be a powerful take on “girl power,” it might be a little out of place due to the aftermath of the speech. Specifically, Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian released audio of Taylor approving of the rapper’s lyric about her–which caused Taylor to fall out of grace for a few months. The 2017 Grammy Awards air on February 12 at 5 p.m.

A Dutch zoo has launched a program called “Tinder for Orangutans” in an attempt to help apes find love and, in turn, gain sight into how female orangutans pick their mates. During the four-year experiment, an 11-year-old female ape named Samboja of the Apenheul Primate Park in the Netherlands will be shown photos of potential love interests on a tablet. If she pays extra attention to a photo or video of an eligible mate, it’s interpreted as a sign that she might be interested in getting to know the lucky fellow a little better. The Guardian reports that because the male orangutans in the international breeding program could come from as far away as Singapore, the zoo hopes the new method will increase the chances of a successful encounter. “Often, animals have to be taken back to the zoo they came from without mating,” Thomas Bionda, a behavioral biologist at the zoo, explains. “Things don’t always go well when a male and a female first meet.” (We can relate to that.)

Blake Shelton jokes about “hooking up” with girlfriend Gwen Stefani in a new promo for season 12 of The Voice. Entertainment Tonight reports that the clip shows Shelton and Stefani, along with fellow coaches Alicia Keys and Adam Levine taking turns speaking about what inspires them. It also gives viewers a sneak peek at their blind auditions antics, which include Stefani trying to win over a country artist by noting, “I just did a country song with Blake Shelton. I got the hookup!” Shelton responds by telling his lady, “That is so inappropriate to talk about us hooking up.” Season 12 of The Voice debuts February 27 on NBC.
