Guy Ritchie will reportedly direct Disney’s live-action version of Aladdin. Reports say the project will be a “non-traditional” take on the Aladdin story, which was originally released in 1992. While the new film will keep several of the musical elements of the animated version, it’s unclear how the genie character–which was voiced by the late Robin Williams–will be dealt with.

Fraggle Rock is headed back to HBO in HD! Not to be confused with a reboot — – it will be remastered in HD. Jim Henson’s beloved Muppet show originally debuted on HBO in 1983, lasting five seasons and 96 episodes. Fraggle Rock centres upon the Fraggles – – creatures who live in caves but LOVE exploring. Each episode has kid-friendly content about friendship, tolerance, diversity, and caring for the planet. Additionally, each episode has original music (folk, blues, gospel, country, rock).

“In remastering the series, illuminate has created a contemporary look for the series with meticulous attention paid to every detail — sharpening the images, cleaning up the contrast, increasing the vibrancy of the colors and re-formatting for wide-screen — all under the careful supervision of Brian Henson. We’ll engage a whole new audience who will love meeting the Fraggles, Gorgs, and Doozers.”
-Richard Goldsmith, EVP of Global Distribution for The Jim Henson Company

Fraggle Rock’s return is set to come in late 2017.

Saturday Night Live did a hilarious sketch on the Netflix series, “Stranger Things”.

With the show being renewed for a 2nd season, the spoof takes a sneak peak at what comes next for Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, Eleven and The Upside Down. Specifically, the scene focuses on Lucas (played by Sasheer Zamata), and his “parents” Leslie Jones and Kenan Thompson.

Provided this isn’t another of his elaborate bits of performance art, Shia LaBeouf married his longtime girlfriend, fellow actor Mia Goth, at the Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel in Sin City on Monday. Presiding over the nuptials was an Elvis Presley impersonator; the normally scruffy LaBeaouf looked remarkably clean-shaven, while Goth resembled a young Sissy Spacek, as always. TMZ actually managed to get a cameraman inside the chapel, where it live-streamed the ceremony.
