Greater Sudbury saw a second visit of the day from a Cabinet Minister as the Minister of Finance, Bill Morneau held a town hall meeting on the shores of Ramsey Lake.

Morneau held a small meeting at the Northern Water Sports Centre which was also broadcast live on the Government of Canada Money Matters Facebook page.

Morneau says the goal is to give people a sense of understanding on items like the Canadian Pension Plan.

He says learning more about items like the Canadian Pension Plan and Canada Child Benefit will go a long way in reducing high unemployment rates.

Other points of focus during the town hall were student debt and a stronger middle class.

Along with Minister Morneau was Sudbury MP Paul Lefebvre, Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre and Minister of Small Business and Tourism, Bardish Chagger.

Both Morneau and Chagger will be back later this month along with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for a Cabinet retreat.
