Creator Of Big Nickel Passes Away At 82

Sudbury business man and creator of the Big Nickel, Ted Szilva has passed away.

Szilva was born in Sudbury and came up with the idea for the Big Nickel monument in 1963.

Szilva came up with the idea while working as a firefighter and raised the money himself by selling miniature medallions.
