France Gelinas

France Gelinas offered up her opinion as the provincial government tabled it’s budget yesterday afternoon.

Nickel Belt’s NDP MPP says she thinks offering free tuition to students from families with incomes of 50-thousand dollars or less and adding to the hospitals budget for the first time in four years are positive steps.

But she criticized the government for increasing the deductible and the co-payments for prescription drugs for seniors.

Gelinas also says the budget does little for Northern Ontario issues like Northland Buses and Maley Drive.

She also questioned where the funding has gone for Maley Drive.
