Matt LeBlanc says he almost left Hollywood for a nervous breakdown. Joey Tribbiani, the Friends star, admits that after the show ended and his spin off Joey flopped, he hid away from the world. The 47 year old confesses:

“For years and years, I barely left the house…I was burnt out. I wanted to not have a schedule, not be somewhere … I almost had a nervous breakdown.”

LeBlanc says he hid away at his California ranch for five full years, starting in 2006 – at the same time his marriage to model Melissa McKnight started to fall apart and his daughter Marina was diagnosed with cortical dysplasia, a “devastating” brain condition.

“My agent was bummed,” Matt admitted. “Most actors call their agents and say, ‘What’s going on?.’ I’d call mine and say, ‘Please lose my number for a few years.’”

LeBlanc says he even
gave himself a mohawk hairstyle to make sure he would avoid cameras and media at all costs
