Sudbury residents are invited to a Snow Day tomorrow, but it’s slightly different than the Snow Days children are used to.

Healthy Kids Snow Day, at James Jerome Sports Complex, is a large outdoor event with a number of free activities meant to get families active.

Project Manager, Kate Barber, says it’s the first of many initiatives through the Health Kids Community Challenge.

Free transit is available using a voucher from the city’s website, plus there will be warming tents, healthy snacks and sporting equipment to borrow.

Also the Ramsey lake skate path is open as of this afternoon.

There had been a delay due to poor weather conditions but it’s now open Monday to Friday from 4-8 pm, Saturday from noon to 8 pm and Sunday’s noon to 6 pm.
