Greater Sudbury Police were kept pretty busy Thursday with numerous collisions, all mostly related to the weather and road conditions.

During the morning commute, a 19-year old female driver suffered a broken leg when her westbound car lost control on the Kingsway, veered into southbound traffic and was hit by a pick-up truck.

But, it was during the drive-home at night -after 5 o’clock- when police were called to a half-dozen accidents, including two rollovers -one on Lasalle Blvd at Frood Road and one on Municipal Road 80 at Tracks and Wheels.

There was also a two-vehicle accident on Lorne Street at Edna Street around the same time.

Injuries were either minor or non-life-threatening.

In every case, Greater Sudbury Police issued the same warning to drivers: slow down and drive according to road conditions.
