The Sudbury Wolves may have solved their goaltending shortage…pending league approval.

Sudbury picked up netminder Zack Bowman from the Flint Firebirds (formerly Plymouth Whalers) in exchange for a fourth round OHL Draft pick in 2017.

Wolves’ General Manager Barclay Branch says they wanted to get a player with O-H-L experience to help fill the gap left by the injury to starter Troy Timpano.

Sudbury had to call up 16-year old Jake McGrath to team up with 17-year old Matthew Menna…neither of whom have OHL experience.

The 18-year old Bowman has started six games for Flint this year.

He has a 2-3 record with one shutout and a goal against average under 3.
