Freedom of speech and censorship is being called into question after YouTube star and comedian Nicole Arbour posted a video titled “Dear Fat People” that jokes about obese people -her account was then shut down before receiving harsh criticism for her controversial rant. The video, which is almost 6 minutes long, shows Armour claiming that “fat-shaming is not a thing” and compares some overweight people to slow-moving zombies, saying, “What are you gonna do about it? What are you gonna do?” she asked in the beginning of her video. “You gonna chase me? Really? I can get away from you by walking at a reasonable pace.” Although Arbour’s video has received more than 19 million views on Facebook, it appears YouTube briefly suspended her account and the video before being reinstated. Instead of posting the original video, which contains vulgar language and may be offensive to some, here is a response one Youtuber posted in reaction to Arbour’s rant

It looks as though Jerry Bance will no longer be running in the election. Remember the repairman and Conservative candidate who was caught peeing in a homeowner’s coffee mug? Bance was filmed during an episode of CBC Marketplace – an investigative series that was looking into how some repairmen are overcharging homeowners for simple, cheap repairs to home appliances. Hidden cameras catch Bance peeing into a coffee cup before dumping the contents of the cup into the sink he was supposed to be fixing. The homeowners, were reportedly in the next room. A Conservative spokesman confirmed that Bance was dropped for not being truthful during the candidate screening process. The spokesman did not say who will replace Bance as Conservative candidate in the Scarborough riding. Meanwhile, another candidate has been dropped by the Conservative party after an offensive and embarrassing online video surfaced. Tim Dutaud who was running for the Tories in Toronto-Danforth, was forced out Monday after he was identified as a man known as the UniCaller in prank YouTube videos that included him pretending to orgasm while on the phone with a female customer service representative and mocking people with mental disabilities. The videos appear to have been posted about six years ago.
