Taylor Swift reached out to a young fan named Kaileen after reading her heartbreaking Tumblr blog post about having to get through Mother’s Day after losing her mom last year.
Kaileen also shared that the singer’s music helped her get through her most trying times. “Kaileen–I love you so much and can’t imagine what you must be feeling today,” Taylor wrote back on Tumblr. “You’ve lived through my worst fear. I’m so sorry you can’t spend today with her…I admire and respect your ability to put forth such a sunny, sweet disposition when you’ve been through something so dark and tragic so recently…Sending you a huge hug.”

Lindsay Lohan is set to start community service at…. a Brooklyn preschool!?! Yes, really.
The actress has until May 28 to complete 125 hours of community service as part of her Los Angeles reckless-driving sentence, but has put in just 9 hours and 45 minutes so far. Prosecutors say they will seek jail time if she doesn’t meet the deadline. However, a rep tells The Daily Mail, “Lindsay has shown and will continue to show a deep commitment to helping children and is committed to satisfying the requirements of the court.” Presumably, her rep was being serious.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone Country, Shania Twain dishes on why she’s excited to get back on the road for her now 67-date Rock This Country tour.
“The atmosphere of going to the people is just different,” the singer explains, noting that she felt like the host of the show during her Vegas residency. “But when I go to their town, they’re welcoming you with these open arms and their spirit is just so alive, and they’re excited,” she continues. “And they’re grateful that you’ve come to their town.”
Twain’s tour kicks off in Seattle on June 5.
